Educational Background

Dr. Rutsnei Schmitz is a western-trained cosmetic dermatologist. He specialized in Dermatology and graduated from Santa Casa de São Paulo, Brazil. Since he always maintained an exceptional academic record, he got accepted into a number of world-renowned societies. Recently, he achieved a milestone in his career by securing membership in the American Society of Laser Medicine and Surgery (ASLMS). ASLMS is the world’s most prestigious and esteemed medical laser organization.

Dr. Schmitz did not only excel during his academic life but continued to impart knowledge about his field through scientific research. He has written and published several research papers in the esteemed journals of dermatology, such as the International Journal of Dermatology and Anais Brasileiros de Dermatologia.

Experience and Training

Dr. Rutsnei Schmitz completed his Medical Residency in 2008 at Santa Casa de São Paulo, Brazil. After that, he served at several notable hospitals in Brazil and later Dubai. Moreover, he served as an Army Medical Officer for the Brazilian Armed forces at São Paulo Army Hospital, Brazil, from 2008 to 2010.

In 2013, the Regional Council of Medicine of the State of Santa Catarina certified Dr. Schmitz. Moreover, Dubai Health Authority (DHA) issued him a DHA Eligibility Letter in 2017. He is also certified by the Department of Health (DOH), Abu Dhabi.

He moved to Dubai, UAE, after practicing for more than 10 years in Brazil. Here, he worked as a Specialist in Dermatology at Medcare Women and Child Hospital, Dubai, from 2018 to 2020. Moreover, he served at Danat Al Emarat Hospital for Women & Children in Abu Dhabi.
