Massage the treated area:
Mesotherapy uses a gun to administer growth factors into the skin. Massage the treated area to ensure even distribution of growth factors that have been just injected into your body. To get the most out of mesotherapy treatment, massage the treated areas for 15 to 20 minutes daily for the next 3 to 5 days.
You may experience burning sensations:
Immediately after getting the mesotherapy shots you may experience mild burning sensations at the injection site. There may also be slight swelling and redness in the treated area. All these symptoms will subside with a 24 to 36 hours. Icing the injection site and surrounding areas may help minimize swelling and burning sensation. However, do not apply ice directly onto the injection site. Better use ice packs.
Do not take shower for the next 12 hours:
Avoid taking shower or even washing the treatment areas for the next 12 hours. Also avoid sunbathing, hot tubs and saunas for the next couple of days. During this time refrain from taking anti-inflammatory medications as well.
Avoid strenuous exercises for the next 48 hours:
Do not indulge into any strenuous exercise for the initial 48 hours. Walking for half an hour is fine, but avoid activities that will raise your pulse or blood pressure, such as running, jogging, weight-lifting, pushups, chest presses etc.
Bruising is a common and quite normal:
As with any other injection, you may also experience slight bruising at the injection site after mesotherapy treatment. Your doctor will prescribe you some homeopathic or allopathic medication to reduce bruising. Use the medication as advised by the doctor.
Follow your doctor’s post-op instructions:
If you are undergoing the treatment for weight loss, your clinician may recommend a post-procedure diet and exercise plan. Follow your doctor’s instruction carefully for best results.
